As a philosopher, I have always supported trance, transgression, overcoming daily routine and mindlessness. That's probably why I ended up in theatre. Philosophy is a stimulus to independent thinking, which is why its outstanding representatives were also masters of performance: Socrates, Plato, Frederick Nietzsche, or our Krakow-based Józef Tischner.

In theatre, however, what I'm looking for most is Stan Wyspiański himself – his art of provocation and art of thinking, which can burst the Polish seclusion, and unleash the energy pent-up in our obsessions.
