Reportedly, a severed head retains consciousness for another 6 to 7 seconds. If one could exchange a few more words with it, perhaps we could learn something important about the motivations of a decapitated head.
Guy Debord once said: 'All revolutions go down in history, yet history does not fill up; the rivers of revolution return to whence they came, only to flow again'. – but what place of return did he have in mind? Where does the living fountain of revolution gush forth from - and has it run dry by now? The desert that has covered the old world sees an encounter of three rats – Danton, Desmoulins and Robespierre – meeting once again to confront each other in the political agon and dance the last Carmagnole together. Where two are fighting, a third one comes and joins them.
