A play co-produced by the Nationaltheater Mannheim

What are the benefits of democracy? And what of tyranny? What is justice? Is justice better than injustice? What is the recipe for an ideal state? Who should govern it? And who should be excluded from this opportunity?

Let's enter into a dialogue with Plato, the founder of modern Western political thought, and talk about republic. About the ancient Greek state, described from the perspective of the Athenian agora. And about today's democratic European state, seen through the eyes of Polish and German artists. Where did we start? Where have we come to? And is this the republic we kept fighting for?

Directed by Jan Klata.
